Day 1: Cape Town to Citrusdal via N7
Depart 08h00. N7 piekenierskloof, citrus valley. Check chalet. Sundowner walk.
Day 2: Citrusdal to Kagga Kamma
Enter Cederberg. Kagga Kamma nature drive, cave tour, star-gazing deck.
Day 3: Kagga Kamma - Rock Art & Wilderness
Guided rock art, quad or hike, open-air sleepout option (chalet still yours).
Day 4: Kagga Kamma to Bushmans Kloof
Via Ceres Karoo edge. Bushmans Kloof rock art walk with guide, 10,000yr old paintings.
Day 5: Bushmans Kloof to Mount Ceder
Stadsaal Caves, San paintings, lot's wife, rock formations. Chalet braai.
Day 6: Mount Ceder - Maltese Cross & Wolfberg
Full day hike Maltese Cross, Wolfberg Cracks optional. Sunset at Stadsaal.
Day 7: Mount Ceder to Cape Town via Clanwilliam
Ramskop, Clanwilliam dam, rooibos tea stop. Drop CT ~17h00.

7-Day Itinerary - Rustic Route

Ex Cape Town via N7, all on gravel-friendly SUV tracks. No tar-heavy tourist stops.

Day 1: Cape Town → Citrusdal → Cederberg Park (Kromrivier)
Depart 08h00 via N7 Piekenierskloof. Citrusdal farm stall stop. Enter Cederberg Conservancy. Check into Kromrivier chalets (2-bed en-suite). Sunset walk to Stadsaal viewpoint, braai. 320km / 4.5hrs drive.
Day 2: Kromrivier - Stadsaal Caves & Truitjieskraal
Full day at Cederberg Park. Stadsaal Caves San paintings, Lot's Wife, Truitjieskraal rock formations. Return to same chalet. Optional Cederberg Private Cellar wine tasting. Guide R2000 included.
Day 3: Kromrivier → Enjo Nature Farm, Biedouw Valley
Jeep track via Grootrivier, Biedouw Valley. This is the off-beaten bit - only accessible via 4x4 track. Check into Enjo shepherd cottages (Cape Dutch, fireplace). River swim, stargazing. 65km gravel, 3hrs with stops.
Day 4: Enjo - Biedouw Valley Day
Slow day. Hike Oskloof amphitheatre, lonely tree, rock art on farm. Pet friendly, no signal - true rustic. Self-cater, bring wood for fireplace. Guide leads Biedouw rock art walk.
Day 5: Enjo → Driehoek Guest Farm
Via Wupperthal road to Driehoek. Wooden cabins on river bank within 30m of water. Base for Sneeuberg, Tafelberg. Afternoon hike to Maltese Cross viewpoint. Braai area per cabin.
Day 6: Driehoek - Maltese Cross & Wolfberg
Flagship hike: Maltese Cross (4hrs), optional Wolfberg Cracks & Arch (full day). Guide included. Return to same river cabins. Cold Cederberg pools.
Day 7: Driehoek → Clanwilliam → Cape Town via N7
Early departure via Pakhuis Pass, Traveller's Rest for Sevilla Rock Art Trail (9 sites, 5km ramble), Rooibos tea stop. Drop CT ~17h00. 280km.
